Get to know me!

Anka Family264c Hi my name is Anka (yep just like on a boat!) and I’m pretty excited to say that I am an Authorised Marriage Celebrant and I absolutely love it!

A little about me….. I love a good glass of red by an open campfire, outdoor adventures, cooking up a storm and the satisfaction of crossing off a job on my daily to do list. I’m an over organised ambitious person (just ask my friends) who is a problem solver at heart. I love a good challenge and being able to use my jack of all trades skills to get a job done.

I have been happily married for over 11 years and together for over 18. Together Benny (my husband) and I have created one amazing wild at heart little girl who we both consider to be the love of our lives. She may drive me crazy at times but those platinum blonde curls, wicked laugh and baby blue eyes melt my heart and I can’t imagine my life any other way.

Since becoming a Mum my life took a new direction and I decided to take a chance on a crazy idea I had to become a Marriage Celebrant. I still have a day job working for our family run building business but my passion and labour of love is Anka McMahon Celebrant of Celebrations.

I have always wanted to do something different in our local community and I feel all of my choices in life and career paths have steered me right to where I am meant to be as a passionate, enthusiastic , modern and I’m going to say young Marriage Celebrant. (30ish is still young right..? I can still go on Contiki!)

Clay+Cassie-313 New I love working with my couples to create personalised ceremonies about them and their unique love stories that also reflect their own personal values, beliefs, styles and personalities.

Servicing the New England North West Region (and further if you want me too) I’m always up for some fun with an original, modern non-religious approach. My ceremonies are more on the shorter side (approx 20 mins) but are jam packed with your story, love and laughs.

My experience is backed up with a Cert IV Celebrancy, Diplomas in Events, Tourism, Management, Interior and Graphic Design. I have experience in public speaking and am also a Justice of the Peace for NSW.
