Naming Days

Celebrate your new family addition, officially naming them and welcome them into this big wide world.

My Naming Day Ceremonies are unique and are a one of a kind ceremony written specifically about your little one. I take the time to listen to what you would like, the style and themes of the day and the overall event you would like to create. You can even incorporate it into your child’s 1st Birthday Celebrations!

What’s the process?

1) Contact me

Contact me to find out if I am available for your child’s Naming Day. I will reply with details about my services and provide you with a quote for a Naming Day!

2) Let’s Catch Up

We meet (usually in person over a coffee/beer) and have a chat about what you might like for your child/children’s Naming Day and Celebration (yep I’ll even do double naming days!).

Together we discuss any ideas and themes you might have in mind. We have a fun little brainstorming session and bounce a few ideas around. I’ll explain a general format that the ceremony can follow but as there are no legal requirements, you can include absolutely anything in your ceremony. You can be as bold, creative and imaginative as you like. The ceremony can be as long or as short and as formal or relaxed as you’d like it to be…After all it’s about your little one!

Once we finish I’ll send you home with my “Let’s get to know your little one” Questionnaire. By answering this it gives me some insider information about your little one and your family. I’ll also provide you with access to my Naming Day Resource Book that has a magnitude of ideas and inspiration for what you might like to include in your ceremony. (EG poems, wordings, music selections etc). And remember the sky is the limit on creativity!

3) Draft ceremony

With all the information that you have provided me I create a one of a kind ceremony, written about you and your little one. I provide you with a draft and ask you to provide feedback and we work together to make sure the ceremony is exactly what you want.

We can have as many meetings as you see fit.

4) Naming Day-time!

I will arrive at least 20 minutes early, in order to sound check, greet guests and cast a girl’s eye over everything.

As the ceremony begins, it is my role to guide you through the ceremony and get your audience buzzing with fun!

You don’t need to invite me to stay. I usually leave after you have had time to get congratulations from your family and friends. (And after a Celebrant Selfie of course!)
